PDF Tools provides browser-based PDF utilities such as placing a signature, stamp, or logo image on a PDF. Users sometimes compare these features to regulated electronic signature services. This page clarifies what our tools are—and are not.

Document editing utility

Our tools are technical utilities for editing PDF appearance: uploading a file, positioning an image, and exporting a new PDF. They are not a law firm, not a notary service, and not a substitute for professional review of your contracts, NDAs, HR forms, or other documents.

Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice. For requirements in your country, industry, or matter, consult a qualified attorney or compliance professional.

No guarantee of legal validity for signatures

We do not guarantee that any signature, stamp, or mark applied with our tools satisfies e-signature laws, court rules, agency filing requirements, or your counterparty’s policies. Validity depends on context, jurisdiction, identity proof, recordkeeping, and more.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for compliance with laws and agreements that apply to you, and for only processing documents you are authorized to use. See also our terms of service.
